St Andrew’s, Church of England, Family Newsletter Summer 2017

Welcome to Poppets and St. Andrews, we are a parent/Grandparent/ carer group for those children aged three years old and under, although older children are welcome they must take care of the young children.   We hope that you will enjoy coming along and that you and your child will make new friends.   Poppets is a community group that is run by St. Andrew’s church.   We care about families, we believe that the purpose of our church is to serve you in the name of Jesus Christ and welcome you into his family as a beloved child of God.   At St. Andrew’s we are committed to serving our community and the best way for this to happen is in partnership.

Our session runs every Tuesday and Friday during term time from 9.15 – 11.15am
Cost £2.00 and 50p for any extra child or adult
This price includes all your tea, coffee, drinks, fruit and biscuits

This group is a way for parents to make new friends but also for children to develop and learn through play and meeting with other children.   We operate the sessions in three rooms, one is for run around toys and soft play, one for babies and sitting toys and the dining area for our Bible craft activity.    We end some of the sessions with songtime.   We also look out towards our world and we raise money for a chosen children’s charity each year.

Sima who is a children’s party entertainer will be leading songtime and dance once a month from 10am-10.45am.   Liz will be leading a quieter songtime 10.30-11am.
We are a very active church, we have many different things going on during the week that all are welcome to attend.   All these groups are run by volunteers,  including Poppets.
If you wish to opt out of having photo’s taken of your child or yourself, please let Revd Janet and or the Photographer at the parties know.   Photos are placed on our church website.
